FC Arizona is excited to announce the acquisition of Maricopa United Soccer Club.

“This acquisition is big time for the families in Maricopa. Our community is now part of something bigger for our youth players” according to Alex Hernandez, the Director of Coaching for Maricopa United. “This opens up more options and pathways for our players.”

FC Arizona currently operates a recreational program, a competitive program, 2 men’s first teams in the NPSL and UPSL, and a women’s first team in the WPSL. “Having Maricopa United part of FC Arizona is exciting for us” says Jamie Landreman, owner of FC Arizona. “I use to own a business in Maricopa, and the people are friendly and take pride in their city. The staff has been fantastic to work with and the families have been overwhelmingly positive and excited about FC Arizona being part of their community.”

Copper Sky is currently Maricopa United’s home field. “With 8 lighted fields, a state of the art recreation center and a hotel soon to be built on-site, we will be able to hold camps, host tournaments and bring our first team players down to do some great things in the City of Maricopa.”

“Myself and Jamie conducted numerous progressive and enthusiastic meetings with Alex, Aaron, and the staff of Maricopa United. On each occasion we were convinced that acquiring this club and working with this fine group of people would be a fantastic opportunity and another step forward in where we aim to further develop and grow FC Arizona both on and off the field” says Dave Rogers.

“As the Technical Director, I am excited and delighted to welcome all the players, coaches, parents and the greater community of Maricopa in what will become an amazing journey as we all come together to strive and to succeed in our vision of becoming a unique and authentic community and family soccer club.”
