Central Phoenix

Central Phoenix Program Details

FC Arizona’s Competitive Program has been brought to Central Phoenix in 2021 and is currently in its 2nd season under the guidance of Brad Mallmann. The mission of the program is to provide the same top-tier opportunities for player development and competition as the rest of the club, while keeping costs as low as possible so that anyone is allowed to compete at the highest levels in Arizona.

What changed from last year?

From 2021-2022 Coach Brad Mallmann has hired on 4 other volunteer coaches, all of whom have played collegiate soccer or at the semi-professional level and have gone on to professional careers. They have all waived any coach’s fees and believe in the mission of providing any and all youth players the opportunity to compete at the highest level in Arizona. This year through fundraising, the program was able to provide jerseys and scholarship 100% of the program’s players. The program consists of 2008-2005 boys who train every week under the lights at Camelback High School on a beautiful brand new turf soccer field.

The program not only guides players through an intensive soccer development curriculum, but also a curriculum for personal development for teens. The focus is to help young men develop both on and off the field to become successful players, students, working professionals and eventually leaders in their respective communities. Coach Brad has successfully implemented a similar program while coaching the Varsity Boy’s program at Camelback High School for the past 5 seasons leading to a drastic improvement in team GPA’s, players attending college, and players going on to play in college.
