Women's Premier Soccer League

The Women’s Premier Soccer League (WPSL) strives to provide the highest developmental opportunities for amateur players in the United States. Established in 1998, the WPSL has grown to 131 clubs and is the largest women’s soccer league in the world. The WPSL is sanctioned by the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA), which is an affiliate of the United States Soccer Federation (USSF), the ruling body of soccer in the United States.

FC Arizona is an American soccer team based in the Southeast area of Phoenix Arizona. FC Arizona expanded to join the WPSL for the 2019 season. Our WPSL team will be led by former Mexican International Player and our current Girls Director of Coaching, Rosie Mendez.

Rosie has a fantastic pedigree as a player with ODP and ECNL youth experience. As a professional player, she played with the Mexico National Team and in the USL W-League for Sedona FC. After a life-changing accident, Rosie refocused her talent and love of soccer into a dynamic coaching career where she has gained experience from high school teams to international teams. As a varsity head coach, she has won numerous state and regional titles, along with Coach of the Year, for 4-consecutive years. As an international academy coach, she has gained experience at the Mediterranean International Cup, in Costa Bravo Spain, and with B1 Elite Soccer Academy in Barcelona. Rosie is excited about her new role with FC Arizona and ready to bring her success and expertise to our fields.
